# Specola

> Specola is a desktop network toolkit for developers, available for Windows (macOS and Linux coming soon). It
> shows every connection on the user's machine with its process, destination, matched rule and route,
> keeps a searchable connection history, draws routes on a map, and logs DNS queries. Rules in one
> TOML profile send each connection DIRECT, to REJECT, or through a gateway the user operates or is
> authorized to use, by process name, domain, IP or port. Enhanced Mode captures every app's traffic
> system-wide.

Specola is desktop software, not a network service: it includes no servers, IP addresses or bandwidth.
The core (`specola-core`) is written in C++20 and runs headless; the desktop UI is Qt Quick (QML).
A license is a one-time purchase of USD 20 sold through Gumroad, with a 14-day refund.
